B.S. CPT, is a graduate of the University of Delaware Health and Exercise Department. While attending the University of Delaware, Adam was a fitness specialist, concentrating in personal training and health promotion implementation at the Bob Carpenter Sports Building. Adam is a certified personal trainer through NESTA (National Endurance Sports Trainers Association). He is capable of working with any age group, but specializes in training women and athletes striving for peak performance.

Long time members of the Body Shop have had the opportunity to see Kent’s training sessions evolve over the years. His training sessions are an eclectic blend of functional weight training, core strengthening cardio drills, and progressive conditioning that emphasizes postural alignment, balance, and spinal stabilization. Kent prides himself on creating effective exercise protocols that can be modified to accommodate clients that range from morbidly obese to highly conditioned Division I collegiate athletes. In addition to personal training, Kent is certified as a nutritional consultant, offering his clients the chance to reach their fitness goals faster, while staying current on new trends, and separating nutritional facts from fiction. Recently, Kent has added sessions in therapeutic stretching, which exclusively focuses on improving his clients’ range of motion and flexibility. He employs such techniques as active-isolated stretching, P.N.F., and the Egoscue Method. Kent works closely with the area’s leading physical therapists, offering post and pre-surgical rehab programs. Co-owner Roseann McGeehin is a testament to the notion that "it is never too late to start working out." Having never exercised until she was in her 40's, Roseann got interested in fitness while visiting Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires. This eventually led to her purchasing the Body Shop in late 2004 and joining with Adam Howard to provide an attentive and professional atmosphere to fitness at the beach. Roseann is certified as a personal trainer through AFPA. So, if you have never worked with a personal trainer in the past, or are just looking to take it up a notch, come in and visit with Roseann.
